Sterling Performance is an independent, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited testing laboratory in Milford, Michigan. We're looking for a hands-on Test Technician to set up, run and document validation testing in our 34,000+ square-foot lab.
What you'll do
- Prepare samples and set up test fixtures, instrumentation and data acquisition
- Run fuel system, environmental, vibration, materials and EV battery tests to written procedures
- Monitor tests, record observations and data accurately, and flag anything out of tolerance
- Maintain test equipment and keep the lab clean, organized and safe
- Work with engineers to troubleshoot setups and deliver results on time
What we're looking for
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, fixtures and test equipment
- Careful attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- Ability to follow written procedures and safety requirements
- Experience in a test lab, automotive, or manufacturing environment is a plus
